Associate Director, Finance - Animal Health (AH) Global Supplier Management
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Leader to partner with the business, lead and support key categories within AH Procurement in many aspects of supplier relationships such as: Vendor selection, contract negotiation & review, supplier risk assessments, savings calculations, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as well as financial decisions in support of the overall AH objectives.
In addition, the role will be key person in consolidating the total BioPharm results within GSM and managing PPV. The position will report to the Finance Director, AH Global Supplier Management.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implement and oversee financial reporting and controls associated with AH Procurement
Manage various aspects of AH-GSM relationship through collaboration with finance, procurement, and operations stakeholders
Analyze contract award proposals for spend confirming cost savings and assessing other terms and conditions
Provide business case support for supply decisions based on cost optimization
Prepare, analyze and consolidate monthly results, forecasts, and other reports for use by management. Preparation of these reports requires a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing accounting policies, procedures, and cost system
Support development of digital solutions as necessary and manage current solutions in both PowerBI and Aera.
Take significant role in the annual Budget and LROP process
Manage the PPV results and process in AH Procurement
Provide management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance and risk
Savings Performance vs Target
PPV performance
Productivity
Spending trends
Provide finance support for any other ad hoc issues that may develop
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS in Finance, Economics or Accounting
MBA / CPA / CMA Preferred
Other educational backgrounds accepted in context of business experience, demonstrating strong financial and analytical skills, and ability to serve as a team leader
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 10 years’ of demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance role
Demonstrated ability to act in a business partnership role, advising and guiding
Strong influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead through change and ambiguity
Strong financial acumen
Team-oriented attitude and ability to work collaboratively with and through others
Candidate must be highly proficient working with MS Office tools (mostly Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI)
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Prior experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations.
