Job Description

Privia Health seeks an Associate Counsel to provide support on a wide range of legal matters. This position will support the other members of the legal team in complex healthcare transactions, but will also have an opportunity to work autonomously on contract drafting, review, and negotiations.Ā  The ideal candidate should be agile and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment.

Primary Job Duties:Ā 

  • Assist legal team members with drafting and negotiating complex healthcare transactions with various segments of the healthcare ecosystem, including health systems, independent physician practices, IPAs, CINs, payors, and integrated research organizations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including sales agreements vendor agreements,Ā  and payor agreementsĀ 
    • Manage contract negotiations between Privia and external parties
    • Identify issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare a consolidated responseĀ 
    • Escalate issues to senior team members, as appropriate
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders with respect to regulatory and operational implications of proposed or existing transactions
  • Periodically assist with the review and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Perform in a cross-functional coordination role with other business team members (e.g., commercial, finance, operations, procurement)Ā 
  • Handle other tasks as assignedĀ

Qualifications

  • J.D Degree
  • At least 2 years engaged in active legal practice with a law firm or in-house
  • Contract drafting and negotiating experience required
  • Healthcare transaction experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulationsĀ 

The salary range for this role is $128,000.00 to $160,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units based on performance in the role. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant ā€¦
