Associate Consultant - Indirect Spend Advisory

Summary:
In this role, you will work with academic medical centers and healthcare systems across the country in identifying initiatives for cost-savings, revenue enhancement and operational improvements. As part of our Consulting team, you will conduct analyses, present your recommendations (internally and externally) and provide project management and operational support to active engagements with health systems. You will proactively identify ways to support the project teams in delivery and implementation of recommendations to improve healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
Collect, utilize and analyze disparate and often fragmented data to present a business story for change.
Conduct analyses on spend, clinical, operational and/or performance improvement related data.
Create presentations using qualitative data and other relevant inputs (e.g., stakeholder interviews) to drive an action for member performance improvement.
Provide support to more senior consultants on member engagements including research, development of presentations, meeting preparation, status report preparation, issue identification and tracking/updating project budgets.
Provide implementation support of savings focusing on performance targets and/or operational improvements.
Work in cross-functional teams via a matrix environment to move projects forward.
Communicate expeditiously with sales, advisory leads and project teams.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree (MBA/MHA) a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Experience in a health care environment is preferred.
Demonstrated experience presenting and communicating recommendations.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; Power BI knowledge a plus.
Highly detailed and organized.
Must be capable of simultaneously managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $51,900.00 to $82,900.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
