Allstate Investments manages approximately $70 billion of assets. This position is a hybrid role, meaning your schedule may consist of time in an office setting and time working remotely from your home. The hybrid model is intended to provide greater flexibility – and will mean something different to each team, job and employee. Office presence is driven by the nature of the work and team needs. You’ll work from home for the remainder of the time you’re not in the office. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Associate Analyst in the multi-asset group working on client portfolios backing property & casualty insurance businesses as well as company pension assets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client interfacing role focused on the Allstate enterprise, supporting the development and implementation of portfolio strategies that fit a diverse set of products and objectives

  • Support PMs with portfolio construction, benchmark changes, approval of investment policies, monitoring risk positioning and board reporting for multi-asset portfolios

  • Assist portfolio managers (PMs) overseeing portfolio liquidity needs and collaborating with the investment teams across public and private capabilities to maximize investment performance. This involves attending weekly meetings with the respective groups

  • Work closely with internal and external managers in managing repositioning, which includes rebalancing of asset portfolio through derivatives and cash markets to align with benchmarks and policy allocation

  • Identify enhancements to our reporting process including ongoing assessment of liquidity, portfolio monitoring, asset allocation and risk reports

  • Utilize Aladdin platform including portfolio risk tools, asset positioning modules, and benchmark and portfolio set-up to assist with overseeing the client portfolios

  • Assist with the preparation of investment material for internal Board meetings, which involves coordination with Legal, PMs and performance team members

  • Participate in underwriting, onboarding and monitoring of new external managers across public market equity and fixed income strategies; attend quarterly performance reviews with external managers, summarize results

  • Work closely with team and senior leaders on recently launched private credit mandate, participating in due diligence of managers, onboarding, operations set-up and monthly portfolio and pipeline updates

  • Compile charts and graphs utilizing eVestment data to compare asset manager performance versus peer group; maintain tracking and monitoring tools for evaluating managers

  • Attend meetings with the Treasury group to review cash flow requirements, legal entity updates and corporate initiatives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools

  • Knowledge of Blackrock’s Aladdin system, eVestment a plus

  • Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality & accurate work.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $75,000.00 - 108,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
