Associate Account Manager

Brown & Brown is seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our growing team.
The Associate Account Manager will report to a unit or team leader, individual works in conjunction with Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to provide support & exceptional customer service. Primary responsibility is training in all functions of account management with a dedicated Mentor, and gradually handling various tasks. Training is expected to take up to six (6) months, at which time the teammate is expected to be prepared to move into an elevated position.
How You Will Contribute:
Learn to build, expand, and solidify relationships with customers at all levels within the company, learning appropriate resources to address customer's needs.
Build, expand and solidify relationships with carrier and vendor partners and develop understanding of carrier products and platforms.
Work with Mentor to manage and retain assigned book of business.
With direction from Mentor, follow-up on customer needs and resolve any problems or issues.
Work with Mentor and Compliance Executive to understand IO requirements, and expectations to continuously achieve all audit and performance standards as outlined by leadership.
Work with Mentor to learn various Account Manager tasks including but not limited to, customer renewals, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests / requirements. Assist in preparing materials for open enrollment meetings as requested for customers.
Maintain accurate customer files according to established standards, updating files in a timely manner supporting the coordination and implementation of the customer renewal process from end to end.
Collaborate with Mentor to maintain Agency Management Systems with current required information and documents on an ongoing basis – census, rates, benefit summaries, commissions, to assist with closeouts maintaining system integrity.
Expected to have occasional customer contact upon request of Producer or Account Manager during transition.
Keep current with telephone, email requests & tasks, working with Mentor to manage time and learn to prioritize.
Licenses and Certifications:
Ability to obtain Life & Health License within 6-month training period if not already licensed.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
High School diploma
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
2+ years functioning in an Employee Benefits department at an agency or company level (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree and/or extensive insurance experience (preferred)
Pay Range
$45.08 - $48.08 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
