Scope of Position

The Assistant Director of Revenue Management, is responsible for assisting the Director of Revenue Management in determining strategic goals, monitoring, managing and maintaining group and transient inventories to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service, which drive revenue to the hotel.

Responsibilities

Maximize net room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rate therein.
Ensure that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
Work with Revenue team to determine effective and engaging rate offers (packages).
Monitor transient, group and tour booking pace in order to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources.
Assist in creating promotional campaigns in order to generate business and communicate with sales teams to gather sales figures.
Forecast future demand and pricing trends.
Complete all rooms and revenue forecasting to accurately project unconstrained demand.
Track and analyze competitive set pricing and yield strategies, gaining the ability to predict the comp set reaction to changes in the marketplace.
Prepares materials for the weekly Revenue Management meetings.
Provide supervision, professional development, and scheduling.
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Position Requirements

Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Reservations Manager or 3 years’ experience in a related area.
Ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data.
Knowledge of total hotel revenue management concepts, processes and strategies (including sales cycles and trends, account management, pricing and inventory management).
Proven experience in analysis and problem solving required.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.

Education

2-year degree from an accredited university; 2 years’ experience in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
