The Assessment Implementation Director will partner with districts and state departments of education to share how our programs meet their assessment needs. This individual will collaborate with district and state leaders to create educator-focused guidance on key use cases and offer suggestions for adaptation for specific local context. Using their understanding of district and state assessment needs, the consultant will lead implementation planning and discussions in partnership with Educator Success, Account Management, and Assessment to ensure high quality implementations.
The impact you'll have:
- Serve as an expert on the company’s products, the issues faced by assessment directors and classroom educators, and the latest educational assessment trends at the local, state, and federal level.
- Consult district leaders, especially in assessment, research, and measurement roles as they develop plans and address problems of practice. Demonstrate effective and successful assessment consultation practices in working with district administrators on topics including how CA’s assessments can be used for RTI/MTSS, screening, benchmarking, instructional guidance, and accountability.
- Build relationships with top school district assessment and curriculum directors to determine their assessment needs and help them develop solutions.
- Identify best practices across districts, synthesize findings, and share leading practices with district leaders facing similar problems of practice.
- Deliver key presentations virtually or in person to educate individuals about our assessments and how they fit into a district’s overall assessment plan.
- Establish collaborative, productive working relationships with the assessment and product team to gain and in-depth understanding of how assessment products function and share key findings/needs of educators to inform new development.
- Provide leadership and engagement in addressing account- or state-level issues; escalate issues as needed and serve as a resource in helping to resolve issues and communicate those resolutions.
- Develop clear and compelling content that helps build educator’s understanding of our Assessment products and equips them to develop successful implementation plans.
- Partner with Account Management, PD, Sales, Government Relations to identify common problems of practice and offer suggestions based upon what worked with specific implementations.
- Serve as a role model during every interaction and communication, upholding CA’s values.
Who you are:
- Strong understanding of assessment development or psychometrics and the communication of technical information to K-12 educators.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional interest in the creation of compelling content and presentations.

- Experience in using assessment data in K-12 settings. Well-qualified candidates will have experience crafting district-level assessment plans and working with state departments of education to vet and approve plans.
- Demonstrated effectiveness leading cross-functional teams and working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build deep understanding of complex products and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area required, Master’s or Ph.D preferred.
Location: While this is a remote opportunity, this role will be specifically tasked with serving educators in the central United States. Ideal candidates will be located in, or proximal to, the Great Lakes region.
Travel: Typical travel requirement is 50-80% per month, with extensive, on-site work at district and school locations.
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $93,250 - $166,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
