Neuromodulation
Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
The Opportunity
The Area Sales Trainer - West for Abbott Neuromodulation will develop and implement training programs, education and tools to support U.S Customer Service, US Field Personnel and customers. Provides clear and concise information to trainees that enables understanding of processes, procedures, policies and customer experience excellence. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. As a member of the Global Sales Training Team, this individual will work to implement training curriculums by assessing and analyzing the individual new hire strengths and weaknesses around clinical, procedural, and business acumen, as well as an understanding of the treatment algorithms within the chronic pain management industry.
What You’ll Work On
As a member of the Global Sales Training Team, this individual will work to implement training curriculums by assessing and analyzing the individual new hire strengths and weaknesses around clinical, procedural, and business acumen, as well as an understanding of the treatment algorithms within the chronic pain management industry.
Remains aware of changes that may impact training requirements/needs by seeking out information that may change the processes and policies of Customer Service and Field Personnel and impact the Customer.
Remains aware of trends and advances in training methodologies in business.
Implementing changes/improvements to training protocols and materials accordingly.
With the Global Sales Training team, develop approach, scope and methodology of training materials to maximize impact and minimize training time by determining the target audience, time and location requirements and other applicable factors.
Co-ordination of training activities making necessary logistical arrangements for resources and tools required.
Deliver training as required to meet customer requirements, commercial and marketing strategies, product knowledge requirements, regulation compliance and Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Monitor and update training requirements and records to ensure compliance.
Works with the Management team to ensure that post-training results meet organizational targets and expectations by collecting and analyzing post-training data and implementing remedial training activities as necessary.
Participates in the development of employees by providing guidance and offering counsel.
Participates in project teams across functional boundaries.
Interacts with customers.
Participates in goal and objective setting with management team.
Exercises judgment in selecting suggestions for innovative and practical methods to achieve problem resolution within compliance boundaries.
Failure to obtain results can impact compliance and expenditures.
Travel: 50-60%
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in applied science, Bio-Medical, Engineering or related health field.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in Neuromodulation field with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education, proven skills and/or work experience.
Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
Solid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures and practices.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting suggested methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to deliver effective training to large and small audiences.
Has a sound knowledge of presentation, training and analysis software.
Has previous experience and knowledge dealing with customers and customer experience concepts.
Travel is expected within Area and to the Corporate office for Trainings.

The base pay for this position is
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
