Area Quality Manager

- Manage a team of Regional Quality Managers to execute the program vision, strategy and processes resulting in repeatable metric driven results at scale.
- Educate and enforce Quality program standards and serve as the primary point of escalation for Regional Quality Managers while having ultimate accountability for Area performance.
- Partner with Matrix Organizational Peers to represent the Area risks, status and needs. Interface at the area level between design, construction, and facility operations leadership as well as the general contractor to ensure embedment of Quality program vision and strategy.
- Establish and foster a high performing team focused on healthy communications and a tenacity towards scope management
- Partner effectively with peer managers while mentoring and developing the individual contributor members of the DEC Quality Team.
- Provide direction with business context and embed program changes within the Area DEC Quality matrixed team and associated external partner
- Act as “Surge Team” and provide remote/on-site coverage when a Regional Quality Manager is out of pocket.
- Collaborate with the Quality Operations team & Fusion Team on programmatic quality issues, improvements, and innovations between DEC & Infra’s design, construction, sourcing, and facility operations teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all third-party consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure alignment with program intent, goals, and requirements
- Monitor quality program metrics to evaluate the performance of the area portfolio and individual campuses/projects while establishing incremental site-based goals with the project team to address disconcerting trends.
- Provide training of personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the Quality process.
- Help drive the closure of open issues and escalate any outstanding open items not getting closed out in a timely manner.
- Attend required program and project cadence meetings.
- Travel domestically as needed (anticipated 40-60%).
- 10+ years experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) and/or Commissioning (Cx) programs for data centers or mission critical construction projects.
- BS in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.
- Experience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and Instrumentation and Control disciplines.
- Experience leading QA/QC and Cx programs.
- Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling.
- Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
- Experience in mission critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems
- Experience adapting to a dynamic, hands-on, start-up work environment.
- Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders with various skillsets and level of authority.
- Experience delivering large scale ($500M+), mission critical construction projects.
- Experience utilizing Autodesk BIM360 Field and/or ACC Build software.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Equivalent Certifications.
$144,000/year to $201,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
