This is your opportunity to have a positive impact in the Water Industry in California by helping customers focus on the critical areas of managing water quality.

The Account Executive expands AQI's customer base by fostering relationships with prospective new customers and helping them solve their toughest water monitoring challenges. This role is focused on the California territory and is a Field Sales position requiring 50% travel in the territory. This position carries a quota.

You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from lead to close for our software products. You will develop meaningful customer relationships focused on driving value to our customers and measured by net new customer growth, revenue growth, and engagement with our products and services. You will share knowledge of customer challenges with our product teams to help us innovate.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Traveling about 50% of the time to meet with current & potential clients throughout the state of California
  • Working remotely from your home office when you aren’t on the road
  • Learning new software applications & tools to help with the challenges our customers face in meeting regulatory requirements
  • Working through the full sales cycle with customers, from lead to close

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in water industry related sales where you've consistently closed deals & exceeded targets.
  • Superior customer relationship skills & ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.

These would be a plus:

  • Familiarity with environmental sciences and/or software-as-a-service (SAAS) is preferred.
  • Consultative solutions-based sales or direct sales experience preferred.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $90000.00 - $100000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Commission Pay.
