Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. Comprised of leaders from Cylance (now Blackberry), Accuvant (now Optiv), Fireye and ISS X-Force (now IBM), Halcyon is focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.

The Role:

Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver.  Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our rapidly growing Cloud Engineering Team. This team comprises 11 contributors working across DevOps, Data Platform, API, and UI. As an Agile Coach, you will be instrumental in driving intentional growth and scaling the team to meet the evolving needs of our organization. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leaders to foster a collaborative, data-driven, and high-performing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coach teams and leadership on Agile principles, values, and best practices.

• Facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and planning sessions to foster alignment and continuous improvement.

• Build trust across teams, act as a neutral party to resolve conflicts, and cultivate a healthy work environment.

• Support team development through Tuckman’s stages of group development, helping them advance toward high performance.

• Implement and refine agile strategies and standards across competencies (DevOps, Data Platform, API, UI).

• Partner with stakeholders to design team topologies that support intentional scaling.

• Develop and track metrics for value delivery, quality, and process efficiency to inform stakeholders.

• Use tools like JIRA, Confluence, and spreadsheets to analyze trends and drive improvements.

• Work with Product and Engineering Leaders to align team priorities with company-wide objectives.

• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring cohesion and shared understanding.

• Guide the organization through transformations by introducing agile methodologies tailored to our needs.

• Lead initiatives to improve meeting culture, backlog management, and sprint execution.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Agile Coach or similar role, preferably in growth-focused or transformation contexts.

• Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and change management principles.

• Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops, training sessions, and agile ceremonies.

• Data analysis skills to make informed decisions and demonstrate the impact of agile practices.

• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Excel or Sheets, JQL.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

• Certifications such as ICP-ACC, SAFe Program Consultant, or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).

Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

Bonus Target: 10%

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
