Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. Comprised of leaders from Cylance (now Blackberry), Accuvant (now Optiv), Fireye and ISS X-Force (now IBM), Halcyon is focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.

The Role:

Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver. Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our rapidly growing Cloud Engineering Team. This team comprises 11 contributors working across DevOps, Data Platform, API, and UI. As an Agile Coach, you will be instrumental in driving intentional growth and scaling the team to meet the evolving needs of our organization. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leaders to foster a collaborative, data-driven, and high-performing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coach teams and leadership on Agile principles, values, and best practices.

• Facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and planning sessions to foster alignment and continuous improvement.

• Build trust across teams, act as a neutral party to resolve conflicts, and cultivate a healthy work environment.

• Support team development through Tuckman’s stages of group development, helping them advance toward high performance.

• Implement and refine agile strategies and standards across competencies (DevOps, Data Platform, API, UI).

• Partner with stakeholders to design team topologies that support intentional scaling.

• Develop and track metrics for value delivery, quality, and process efficiency to inform stakeholders.

• Use tools like JIRA, Confluence, and spreadsheets to analyze trends and drive improvements.

• Work with Product and Engineering Leaders to align team priorities with company-wide objectives.
