Where the chemistry happens...


As an Account Manager for the Industrial Formulators team, you will be instrumental in hunting, developing, and maintaining relationships with strategic customers in Industrial markets. This role will drive sales of surfactants, polymers, methane sulfonic acid, and chelates along with other key chemistries. This role is remote and can be located anywhere in the continental US, with proximity to a major airport.

As Account Manager, Industrial Formulators ,You Create Chemistry By...

 

•    Developing and maintaining the Care Chemicals sales relationship with accounts in Industrial markets including water treatment, pulp and paper, construction, and chemical processing.   
•    Building relationships with key customers, facilitating identification of new business opportunities and drive achievement of growth opportunities at the customer.
•    Establishing multi-level relationships with customers as well as interfacing closely within the BASF organization to drive new projects and business growth.
•    Identifying innovation needs and how BASF can fulfil those requirements. You will also continually refresh the understanding of what BASF can do to fill these needs.
•    Steering Care Chemical’s efforts with the customer, including sales development, new business quotations and development projects.
•    Developing and implementing a strategic growth plan for key accounts that will result in a measurable increase of product sales.
•    Conducting in-person visits to customers and BASF sites with an expectation of up to 50% overnight travel.

If you have...

 

•    A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business and/or related field
•    Experience in account management, sales or related customer facing experience
•    Strategic mindset and the ability to identify new business opportunities
•    Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
•    Strong organizational skills

Pay Transparency

 

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
