In this role you will manage accounts as part of the Downstream sales team responsible for the commercial and business development activities. As an Account Manager you will partner closely with Product Management, Supply Chain, Business Development, Customer Care, Quality, Corporate Distribution, Controlling, and Technical Support to continuously improve the customer experience, while also responsible for ensuring volume, revenue, and margin growth. This position reports to the Head of Sales, Downstream , Plastic Additives, Americas.

- Executing regional and global customer strategies and implement plans to facilitate sustainable growth in the downstream sector of the plastic additives market, including automotive, building and construction, agriculture, and consumer goods.
- Managing customer interfaces and cultivate strategic level relationships for regional and global downstream customer accounts, i.e. master batchers, converters, compounders, in addition to sales and profitability development, customer relationships, and cost to serve.
- Utilizing key tools including but not limited to Salesforce, SAP, APO forecasting, and NPS to assist with internal and external decision making.
- Leveraging your strong internal and external relationships across other regions (including AP, EMEA) ensuring a cohesive strategy for communicating amongst global key accounts in a matrixed organization.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of long-term operational and financial forecasts.
- Communicating sales forecast requirements with the Supply Chain organization during the S&OP process to support regional supply planning.
- Monitoring market conditions, competitive activities, general economic conditions, and governmental, legislative, and regulatory matters to support key business decisions and to determine key technical and business needs.
- Ensuring a strong pricing strategy in alignment with market conditions, working in partnership with Product Management to execute this pricing strategy.

- Posses 5 or more years of related sales experience.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $138k - $185k. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
