Our Account Directors play a pivotal role in steering some of our most valuable client engagements within the cohesive Health & Wellness focus set by Phase2 leadership, spanning multiple industries and sub-industries from policy to prevention. Delivering complex, award-winning digital solutions to high-profile clients demands finesse, attention, and foresight. Building and maintaining client relationships is just the beginning.

Successful Account Directors at Phase2 intuitively influence their clients by understanding both the digital landscape and the clients' businesses. They use their instincts to anticipate client needs and analyze trends for future opportunities. They comprehend digital strategy and the challenges faced by companies and organizations within their portfolio of accounts. They earn their clients' trust through honesty, realism, and unwavering follow-through

This position reports to: VP, Account Management

Salary Range: $129,000 - $140,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular outreach, including check-ins, planning discussions, and QBRs, while ensuring Phase2 teams understand client business objectives, goals, and success metrics to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Act as a point of escalation for revenue-impacting matters within assigned account portfolio and expand Phase2's executive-level reach and remain top-of-mind for key decision-makers and budget holders.
  • Lead account development efforts, including strategic planning, goal setting, KPIs, and targets, identifying, growing, and closing new opportunities within existing accounts to achieve revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with, or as directed by, the Managing Director to pursue new agency accounts from converted opportunities, leading proposal creation, presentations, and pitches with input from relevant stakeholders.
  • Solicit in-account referrals, pursue co-marketing opportunities, and prospect at key industry events. 
  • Handle contract negotiations, statement of work drafting, and partnering with key Phase2 personnel and outside resources for account growth activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive partnerships with Phase2's official partners and other organizations to drive mutual growth and enhance the agency's capabilities, collaborating closely with Phase2 official partners to identify areas of shared opportunity and develop strategies to leverage each other's strengths.
  • Document account success stories and communicate progress to leadership
  • Create and manage account plans, revenue forecasts, and opportunity records in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Delivery, Marketing, and Sales teams to execute account plans and growth initiatives, including generating outreach campaign ideas from existing accounts
  • Stay current on digital technology and industry trends, research client industries, and leverage experience in dynamic enterprise account ecosystems to position Phase2 for success.
  • Play an active role in achieving the company's annual goals and quarterly initiatives. Additionally, proactively contribute to other company-wide initiatives that foster continuous improvement and growth.
  • Travel (10% - 15%) as needed to cultivate relationships, participate in client activities, and attend key events for lead generation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading accounts at a digital agency delivering a mix of creative and/or technical solutions 
  • Understands how creative design and digital technology can add value and drive impact to a company's strategy and overall business performance
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic about developing relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Proven ability to work independently and contribute to a team
  • Willingness to help customers find workable solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, preferably in a business or technical field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product management, business development, account development, and/or consulting background a plus
  • Service engagement contracting experience
  • Specific knowledge of business strategy and ROI within Phase2’s key focus industries
  • Experience with iterative application development using agile and waterfall methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of common web-based applications including digital experience platforms (DXP), hosting, marketing automation tools, contact relationship management, and online portal solutions

  • Consistent demonstration of successfully executing the minimum qualifications of the next level
  • Endorsement from senior leadership and peers

The typical advancement path is to Senior Account Director.

 

Environment

Physical Demands

  • Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional adjusting or moving of light objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
  • Continuous communication on live video chats, calls, and through emails and messaging platforms for the purpose of exchanging information.
  • Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Travel (approx. 15% - 25%) when required.
