Job Description
*Position to start June 2025*
The goal of the Olympus Corporation of the Americas Rotational Development Program (OCA RDP) is to develop and train early talent through targeted rotational assignments and learning opportunities in one of our many business units and functions.
Participants in the RDP will be immersed in hands-on training with functional subject matter experts and business leaders who will provide both mentoring and guidance throughout the program. This program is designed as a two-year rotation (three eight-month assignments) in a specific business area or corporate function. At the conclusion of the two-year program, the RDP participant will be placed full-time in one of the relevant rotational function areas, as determined by business need and as directed by executive management.
This role would be working in our Post Market Surveillance Complaints department, which is part of our Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs division. The ideal candidate would be based out of one of our main OCA locations (Center Valley, PA / Westborough, MA / or Brooklyn Park, MN), although we may consider fully remote for the right candidate. The starting salary for this position varies dependent upon location ($60,450 Center Valley, PA / $66,500 Brooklyn Park, MN / $69,500 Westborough, MA).
Job Duties
The Rotational Development Program allows for a wide view of OCA business groups and shows the program participant how each area of the business function supports the overall company goals and strategies. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
RDP participants will also participate in a series of learning activities centered around professional development and business acumen.
The Rotational Development Program - QARA Complaints focus – will rotate between the areas of:
- Post Market Surveillance: During the Post Market Surveillance (PMS) rotation, the participant would gain experience in both the global Community of Practice (CoP) and a regional PMS team. The CoP develops global procedures for Post Market Surveillance and supports global teams in monitoring safety and performance of Olympus devices. The regional teams monitor and collect data from a variety of sources in order to evaluate the performance and safety of devices placed on the market.
- Complaint Management - The participant will gain experience in both complaint handling, complaint investigation, and overall management of day-to-day activities as they relate to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and individual metrics. The complaint owners are primarily responsible for ensuring timely and accurate escalations, coding, customer follow-up and closing activities. The complaint investigators are responsible for ensuring the evaluation, investigation, coding and escalation of the device and device-related failures. Collectively both teams utilize queries within Global Complaint Handling Systems and PowerBi dashboards to ensure timely processing of complaints.
- Complaint CAPA - The participant will gain experience in the CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) process, including participating in CAPA non-conformance containments, investigations, problem-solving tasks, and proposing corrective actions.
