1099 Corporate Recruiter/Sourcer

What you'll do:

  • Provide an excellent customer experience that is personal and forms effective partnerships with management, candidates, peers, and vendors.

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, job duties, and required qualifications and skills to prepare a recruitment plan.

  • Perform full-cycle recruiting to support staffing at all levels of Silgan’s operations, from entry-level roles to technical, skilled trades, and professional.

  • Develop job ads and marketing materials to promote open positions.

  • Responsible for identifying, engaging, attracting, and hiring talent from various institutions like high schools, technical colleges, universities, military installations, and local communities.

  • Accountable for sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, pre-employment screenings, and extending and negotiating offers.

  • Recruit quality active and passive candidates using job boards, sourcing tools, social media, and networking relationships.

  • Use sourcing techniques to find, engage, and activate diverse, passive candidates to build robust candidate pipelines.

You'll need to have:

  • 1099 ability.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

  • 2+ years full-cycle recruitment experience; will consider the experience in place of education.

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. 

  • 2 + years of experience with sourcing to build robust and diverse talent pipelines.

  • Possess current knowledge of relevant employment laws and practices, especially recruitment and hiring regulations.

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) like Workday, iCIMS, Zoho, Bullhorn, etc.

  • Campus and military recruiting experience preferred.

  • Ability to influence others within a matrix environment while building effective business partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Solid organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing abilities.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office.

  • High level of professionalism and effective communication skills.
