The Workday Strategic Delivery Leader is responsible for managing and leading a high-performing team of Workday technical consultants with a focus on innovation and product strategies spanning Workday Extend, Workday Prism, data conversion, and reporting, including the use of AI within these toolsets. The Workday Strategic Delivery Leader serves as a people leader, overseeing the operations of multiple technical teams with focuses on building innovative solutions, promoting employee engagement, and driving efficiency and profitability. Providing key input to the practice strategy and vision, the Workday Strategic Delivery Leader has primary accountability to understanding market trends and client and colleague needs to drive practice profitability by strategically identifying innovative solutions, supporting sales in revenue generating opportunities, and creating modern and optimized delivery models.  This role is responsible for collaborating across the globe to create a consistent approach to delivery, including the education and support necessary for empowering their teams to be successful. 


 

The Role

As a vital member of the leadership team, the Workday Strategic Delivery Leader collaborates closely with business leaders to shape and execute strategic goals. Their responsibilities include:

Strategic Vision and Execution:

  • Define and coordinate delivery models, methodologies, and processes aligned with market trends and client needs.
  • Build a products mindset within the organization, vetting ideas from team members and cultivating those with commercial potential.
  • Collaborate with the Workday Innovation Market & Strategy Leader as well as Sales, and Delivery team to develop effective Workday Technology go-to-market strategies, including product positioning and education materials.

Market Insights and Innovation:

  • Understand market drivers and trends to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Focus on innovation, delivery efficiency, automation, and methodology enhancements.
  • Iterate on delivery solutions based on customer insights, KPIs, and market adjustments, ensuring continuous improvement.

Client-Centric Approach:

  • Foster a client consulting mindset within the team to drive growth in client relationships and achieving client outcomes.

Sales Alignment:

  • Collaborate with Sales & Solutions teams to drive revenue.
  • Creatively model delivery efforts and engage in client conversations about our strategy.

Profitability Maximization:

  • Implement appropriate delivery models and leverage global resources – support ways of working offshore, global standardization and best practices, and global methodology.
  • Align hiring strategy with profitability targets, practice needs, and revenue forecasts.

Client Engagement and Workday Expertise:

  • Speak to clients about Workday trends and Strada best practices.
  • Provide input to overall practice strategy and lead vision-aligned initiatives.
  • Serve as Executive Sponsor on engagements needing additional governance and strategic support.

Colleague Development and Leadership:

  • Create an engaging environment focused on delivery experience.
  • Support continuous growth and effective coaching for future leaders.
  • Champion global product and process education for effective client consultations.
  • Develops and cascades appropriate goals and OKRs that align to the overall strategic direction and vision.
  • Manage job requisitions, facilitate interviews, and selection process.


 

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7 to 10 years professional services delivery experience with client consulting experience required (Workday preferred)
  • Strong technical content and product knowledge across Workday delivery and administrative processes (i.e., conversion, integrations, reporting, Extend/Automation)
  • Develops new insights into situations, synthesizes and develops ideas and solutions from same, and effectively communicates and persuades colleagues to apply
  • Recognizes and tackles difficult conversations proactively; strong soft skills that facilitate resolution and win-win approach
  • Ability to interface and build trust and credibility with colleagues and clients
  • Understands and can apply business solutions/innovation to emerging platform solutions, problems, and other technology trends
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting, delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and colleague growth
  • Travel Expectation: Up to 25% of the time (sometimes on short notice) to support client and prospect meetings
  • This role does not support sponsorship
  • Workday HCM, Financials or other modules certified required

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

140,900 USD

Maximum :

223,600 USD
