The Workday Manager will oversee a group of 5-8 Workday colleagues. The role collaborates at the practice area level with Resource Management, Human Resources, and Practice Leadership to determine practice alignment, training and internal facing projects as well as continues their area of focus project work. As a member of the project team the Workday Manager manages project resources responsible for ensuring timely execution of ongoing client deliverables and consulting with clients on services.  Develops solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple domains or clients. May have project management accountability, leads implementations and complex projects, leads the requirements process, and participates in client sales meetings as Subject Matter Expert/Advisor.  Participates in client sales meetings as Subject Matter Expert/Advisor. Actively develops less experienced colleagues and leads internal initiatives to improve domain.


People Manager:

• Hires, on-boards and mentors new colleagues through partnership with the recruiting team.

• Assists colleagues in goal setting, solicits 360 feedback, assesses performance, provides

feedback to colleagues, and reviews compensation periodically to ensure competitiveness,

per business requirements.

• Conducts at least monthly one-on-one performance and coaching discussions with team

members.

• Executes onboarding plan for the new hires with a focus on increasing the certification pass

rate and accelerating assimilation.

• Partners with Resource Management on project staffing to ensure project assignments are

properly aligned to team members’ skill sets and personal preferences.

• Coaches and develops colleagues through constructive feedback, management of project

assignments, job requirements and capabilities, as well as guiding their overall career paths.

• Ensures the team's individual internal resumes, ETC’s and timecards are accurately

maintained and up to date.

• Actively reviews and presents team members for promotional opportunities to senior

leadership.

• Ensures accurate, timely feedback to colleagues including managing difficult conversations

effectively

• Cascades information to team members via appropriate channels.

• Monitors utilization of team members to maximize revenue potential.

Project Delivery:

•Responsible for the development of advanced custom reports within Workday HCM and/or Financials.

•Manage the maintenance, design, development, testing, and deployment of custom Workday reports and dashboards in alignment with client requirements.

•Lead client sessions to analyze business requirements and provide reporting solutions to complex business needs.

•Provide subject matter expertise on Workday reporting & analytics best practices.

•Executes tasks within projects on time and within Strada quality standards for client deliverables.

•Continues to specialize and deepen skill set within an area, e.g., such as Reports, Dashboards, HCM, Financials, etc.

• Responsible for leading one or more areas of a large project and/or multiple concurrent

projects potentially over longer periods of duration.

• Responsible for managing all stages of the project for the client, from planning and design

phases through testing and deployment.

• Responsible for coordinating the work of others, regardless of people management

responsibilities. Managing project FTE, scope, budget, quality, and timeline.

• Motivates colleagues to think outside of the box and bring ideas to fruition.

• Understands agendas and others’ perspectives, recognizing and effectively balancing the

interests and needs of one's own group with those of the broader organization.

• Develops processes and methodology within and across HCM/FINs.

• Provides a proactive interface between the external clients and the internal staff to ensure

effective coordination and delivery of Workday projects.

• Able to consult to dependencies and integration aspects across and within Workday.

• Champions a Workday product area within and outside of the team.

• Significantly contributes to and leads efforts to develop internal resources via mentoring, coaching, and directing work.

• Takes an active role in defining and leading internal initiatives for area.

• Visibility as an expert within the Workday ecosystem product groups/chats.

• Participates in client sales meetings, assisting with collateral creation where needed.

• Creates work estimates and solutions for small to large bodies of work.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in technical, business, or financial discipline
  • 7 to 8 plus years relevant consulting, domain and/or related technology experience required
  • 2+ years’ Workday experience
  • Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques and domain knowledge to solve challenging business problems to identify areas of risk, opportunities and recommend solutions for our clients. Leverage a diverse set of technologies and tools to deliver solutions
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated experience with MS PowerPoint and Visio
  • Exhibits problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting issues and escalates as appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate more complex messages and requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client satisfaction

  • Workday Prism and People Analytics certification strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of BIRT Workday Report Designer tool preferred
  • Up to 20% travel
  • If not already a holder of the relevant Workday Certification, successful completion of appropriate Workday Certification(s) is a requirement of the role

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

112,700 USD

Maximum :

178,900 USD
