Human Resources Department 

The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies. This alignment ensures that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our HR team plays a pivotal role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment. 

Position Overview 

This role can be based fully remote, with travel outlined below.

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Workday Compensation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in managing and analyzing compensation data to support our compensation programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workday HCM, Workday Advanced Compensation, strong analytical skills, and a passion for compensation management. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices across the organization. 

Essential Job Functions 

Compensation Analysis and Management: 

  • Manage and analyze compensation data within Workday to support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. 

  • Maintain benchmarking survey data in Workday to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures. 

  • Configure, test, and support the Advanced Compensation process in Workday, including merit increases and bonus awards. 

Workday System Administration: 

  • Maintain and update compensation-related data in Workday, ensuring accuracy and integrity. 

  • Configure and manage compensation modules within Workday, including job profiles, compensation grade profiles, compensation plans, and compensation eligibility rules. 

  • Develop and generate standard and ad-hoc reports to provide insights and data analysis to support business needs. 

Policy and Compliance: 

  • Provide data for audits and ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls. 

  • Develop reports to support compensation compliance requirements, such as pay parity. 

Collaboration and Support: 

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to address compensation-related Workday issues and provide support. 

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and HR partners on Workday compensation-related matters. 

Project Management: 

  • Lead and support compensation-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements. 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compensation programs. 

Additional Duties: 

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management. 

 

Job Requirements 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 

Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS or related field. 

  • Experience with Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation modules is required. 

Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details 

  • Salary Range: $140,000-150,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations) 

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits. 

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
