 The Wellness Coach 2 supports health promotion and disease prevention and care management services. The Wellness Coach 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Wellness Coach 2 explains, educates, reinforces, and coaches members on their tailored self-help plans. Identifies problems, sets goals, and determines the individual's health status based on assessment. Establishes goals for each individual regarding educational and health care needs. Communicates with primary care and/or treating physician to request specific health information and/or to provide an update of an individual's health care status. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health / Health Coaching or related field
  • Current NBC-HWC, National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach
  • Strong organizational skills — manage multiple tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to serve as behavior change facilitator, not be the expert and/or educator.
  • Learning mindset — committed to continuous learning and development.
  • Ability to shift focus and quickly adapt to change as needed.
  • Home office with a locked door to ensure privacy while working
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • This is a VSP, Variable Staffing Pool position - hours will vary.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years' progressive coaching experience in medical or insurance setting
  • Bilingual — English, Spanish
  • Additional health licensing (RDN, RN, PT, ICF, etc.)

Additional Information

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$52,500 - $72,300 per year
