Job Summary:
The Content Specialist’s focus is on the content of direct & third-party lodging sites in active support of the Lodging Distribution team, the Corporate Hospitality team, Hospitality Marketing, the OTA Account Manager, and the properties directly. Resolving issues & keeping a proactive, forward-facing approach to content will drive incremental revenue due to improved content scores and guest satisfaction. In this role, you’ll spend most of your time working on content updates and maintenance by supporting the Online Travel Agencies (OTAs- i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), Wholesalers, and Direct/Internal teams across various systems and information sources.
You will assist the Lodging Distribution team and OTA Account Manager with updating content on unit-specific listings in the vacation rental space. You will own updates to photography across all systems, directly and via the Leonardo content management system and work with the appropriate teams on photography organization. You will be responsible for auditing content on 3rd party and direct websites to ensure consistency & accuracy. You will engage with internal and external teams to manage updates to content to ensure consistency across all platforms. You will work with the department’s Project Manager(s) in creating and maintaining new processes or initiatives surrounding content management.
The right candidate for this role will use their knowledge of content and its importance to the guest experience and Vail Resort’s brand to complete strategic projects, while supporting internal teams and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are of the utmost importance to help drive revenue growth and profit goals of the properties. This position will encompass all Owned & Operated lodging properties enterprise-wide, with the potential to partner with third-party lodging.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage unit/listing photos, names, descriptions, amenities, and bedding configuration at the property and unit level for OTAs/3rd party sites, Inntopia/Resort.com’s, Synxis, Vacation Rental platforms, and internal teams
- Help onboard new vacation rental listings as new units, properties, and resorts are added to the VR portfolio. Maintain content for these single-key listings, including ensuring vacation rental listings have the correct permit number and work with properties on unique governmental regulations.
- Work with internal teams such as hospitality marketing, corporate hospitality, reservations, and resort properties to maintain consistent hospitality-related content across all internal teams.
- Align with Corporate Hospitality Marketing to find content gaps on platforms and assist in pre-arrival/confirmation email formatting, content, and implementation.
- Find efficiencies, help create new processes, and build SOPs for internal stakeholders.
- Align with 3rd party Account Managers on how best to increase revenue by improving content scores and increasing sort order on the 3rd party websites.
- Discover new marketing initiatives and investigate which methods encourage growth on our direct or 3rd party listings.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on photography management and partner with other departments on their hospitality photography needs. Support and maintain ongoing use of the Leonardo Content Manager photography system and its distribution to the OTAs.
- Support and work alongside the Hospitality Sales Operations Project Manager on long-term content projects.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Proven success in a similar role and environment.
- Experience in any of the following – hospitality-related fields, sales, reservations, front office, marketing, and/or copy writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
- Experience working in property management systems and central reservations systems.
- Proficient in spoken and written English
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $22.00 - $26.03. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
