About the Role:
The VP, People will be responsible for leading the organization's People team. This person will manage a multifaceted department and lead the strategy and vision for our organization’s culture to achieve long-term success. This person will develop and deliver on a strategic vision to recruit, hire, and retain top talent and support the development of our growing team. They will lead all People team functions, including: Talent Strategy, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS (Workday), Employee Experience, Recruiting, and Learning and Development. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in talent strategy and a track record of operational excellence. They will also embody a collaborative, people-first approach, fostering a culture of belonging and growth. The VP will report directly to our President.
What You'll Do:
- Define and Communicate Vision: Develop and articulate an inspiring vision for our culture and team strategy, ensuring all employees understand how their work drives the company’s mission and success
- Drive Talent Strategy: Set the philosophy for key initiatives like performance management, promotions, compensation, and benefits, partnering with the CEO, President, CFO, and other executive leaders to align on metrics for team success
- Advise and Influence Leadership: Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on all People matters, represent the People team on the leadership team, and provide insights that connect talent strategy to business outcomes.
- Oversee People Functions: Lead senior leaders across People team verticals, including Talent Strategy, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS (Workday), Employee Experience, Recruiting, and Learning and Development
- Champion Culture: Amplify our culture internally and externally, representing our values through events, external press, and industry engagements
- Empower Employee-Led Initiatives: Strengthen employee-led efforts, including Employee Resource Groups, to enhance belonging and further our mission
- Foster High Performance: Build and lead a high-performing team with strong engagement scores, clear growth paths, and alignment with our values
You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience managing people operations, with a track record of success as a leader of a People team supporting a team of at least 500 team members
- Strategic Influence: Proven ability to partner cross-functionally on operational and budget priorities with executive leadership, building relationships and championing People team priorities as integral to business success
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Experience leading the communication of key people initiatives, including crafting compelling presentations and serving as internal and external representative
- Model Resilience: A solution-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and prioritization skills when facing competing requests
- Execution Mindset: Demonstrated success leading complex projects and initiatives with organization and measurable results

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is remote, U.S. based
- The target pay range for this role is: $220,000-$250,000 with additional bonus eligibility and equity based on individual and company performance. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies, as well as location.
- This position may require 5-10% travel
