What’s in Store
We're on the lookout for a VP of Finance. As a VP of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Reporting to the CFO, Davies North America, this role will be pivotal in driving the organization’s financial strategy, aligning it with business objectives, and providing key financial insights and guidance. You will partner closely with the business to support strategic decisions such as revenue growth, pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decisions on revenue growth, pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and scenarios for business planning and decision-making.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers and trends, and present recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with shared services teams to ensure accurate month-end financial reporting, including final sign-off on the Balance Sheet and P&L
- Oversee cash forecasts, working capital management, and A/R collections to ensure financial stability.
- Lead the external audit process and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Review and approve bonus accruals, payroll reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial requests.
- Implement and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster professional growth and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
This role is a full-time, remote position with up to 5% travel.
Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position such as Finance Manager or Director of Finance
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Proficient in using financial management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred
