Summary of the Role:

In this Vice President role, you will be responsible for the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Recordkeeping & Administrative practice for NFP’s Executive Benefits Division. The group administers and maintains the records for a growing group of corporate clients which includes 409A, 457(b), 457(f), LTIP and SERP plans. Currently, 600 plans reside on the Administration platform with new plan sales of 50 – 60 per year. You will have aprox 3-5 leadership-level direct reports with oversight of a team of approximately 30 staff members. You will have an overarching focus on support and retention of client base, providing outstanding client service, platform efficiency, risk management and positioning team and platform for ongoing growth.  Career pathing within the team and practice is a significant priority.

This is a full-time role with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule from our Warrington, PA office. We will consider a remote role for highly qualified candidates, but it will be ideal for you to have some availability to work alongside leadership in this office as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of Plan Managers, Retirement Plan Specialists & Client Service professionals
  • Establish and monitor procedures and policies designed to ensure transactional accuracy
  • Ensure operational objectives conform to established and contracted service standard parameters
  • Analyze structural integrity of processes and controls in order to reduce or eliminate risk to the organization
  • Specifically oversee:
    • Payroll & contributions processing
    • Participant distributions
    • Participants rebalance requests
    • Quarterly statement production
    • Monthly plan reconciliations
    • Sponsor reporting
    • Dividend and other realized gain processing
    • Annual plan enrollments
    • Other

 Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Plan Managers – each responsible for a caseload of non-qualified corporate plans, typically in the 30-35 plans per person range.
  • Retirement Plan Specialists – responsible for all daily cash receipt & trading operational activities. Also, support Plan Managers by performing plan-level day-to-day operational functions.
  • Client Service Associates – primary responsibility is servicing the 800 # inbound phone line, as well as census uploads, enrollment support and providing administrative support.

Other Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • New Prospect plan evaluation
  • Oversee Joint Partner relationships
  • Oversee Rabbi Trust relationships
  • SOC 1 Audit
  • RFP Support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Ideally 10+ years of experience with non-qualified plans and/or qualified 401(k) plans
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present financial information to finance leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to learn the business and have a business and customer centric approach to finance and accounting leadership
  • Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with all levels of personnel within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate complex business problems and provide well thought out solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, employee engagement, and performance management skills
  • Must possess personal and business integrity with an energetic style demonstrated by a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Must be a well-organized self-starter who can effectively analyze a problem, articulate a well-thought-out solution plan, and deliver results
  • Must have strong Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Preferrable to have familiarity in the use of excel macros, power pivots, and power queries

The base salary range for this position is $104,000 – $150,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. The actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis and commensurate with experience and knowledge of the required plans. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
