Your Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary VP Medical Director of Clinical Knowledge Innovations to lead the transformation of clinical knowledge management, decision support, and evidence-based care delivery. This executive will drive innovation at the intersection of clinical practice, technology, and data analytics, ensuring that healthcare professionals have access to the most current, actionable insights for optimal patient outcomes.
This person will work cross-functionally with clinical editorial, technology, and product teams to develop and implement next-generation clinical decision support systems (CDSS), AI-driven knowledge platforms, advanced analytics solutions, and novel and innovative capabilities in healthcare’s rapidly evolving ecosystem.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Co-develop and execute a clinical knowledge innovation strategy that enhances evidence-based decision-making across healthcare organizations.
- Co-develop with Business Development and Commercial Excellence teams to identify key accounts with whom we collaborate for capability and innovation pipeline.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of AI-driven clinical decision support tools, predictive analytics, and digital knowledge platforms.
- Foster a culture of continuous innovation and learning, ensuring clinical knowledge solutions remain cutting-edge and adaptable to evolving medical science.
- Collaborate with academic medical centers, c-suite healthcare executives, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders to drive advancements in clinical knowledge capabilities, novel application and new innovations.
Clinical Knowledge Operational & Business Impact
- Collaborate on the creation, business development, validation, and dissemination of innovations for clinical guidelines, protocols, formularies, care-plans, and evidence-based best practices.
- Envision strategies for clinical knowledge assets to become evidence-based knowledge services for accurate, current, and seamlessly integrated into electronic health records (EHRs), payor systems, and other clinical workflows.
- Partner with product management, agile development teams, commercial excellence, business development, and cross-functional teams to enhance AI and machine learning models that support real-time clinical decision-making.
- Drive business growth by identifying market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and commercialization avenues for knowledge-driven innovations.
- Ensure clinical knowledge innovations align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Measure and optimize the impact of clinical decision support tools on patient outcomes, provider efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, researchers, informaticists, data scientists, and engineers to design user-friendly, high-impact clinical solutions and knowledge services.
- Guide the development of next-generation knowledge services that support precision medicine, population health management, and value-based care initiatives.
- Influence regulatory and policy discussions around clinical decision support, AI in healthcare, and evidence-based medicine.
About You
- MD with expertise in clinical informatics, evidence-based medicine, and knowledge management.
- 15+ years of experience in clinical decision support, medical knowledge management, or healthcare technology leadership.
- Strong understanding of healthcare AI, big data analytics, machine learning, and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, SNOMED CT).
- Demonstrated experience leading clinical knowledge transformation initiatives in healthcare, academia, or industry.
- Expertise in guideline development, real-world evidence (RWE), and digital health innovation.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, engage key stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
Pay Range
