VP Intellectual Property

UnitedLex is seeking a Vice President, Intellectual Property to join our dynamic global team!  The VP IP will collaborate with new and existing clients and internal delivery teams to design and implement effective IP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an IP subject matter expert, advising clients and internal global teams on industry practices. 
• Ensure UnitedLex is bringing the highest quality products and services to the market
• Cultivate relationships and regularly meet with GC, CIPC, AGC litigation, AGC prosecution, and other IP professionals. 
• Design and customize IP solutions and service bundles for new and existing clients.  Review and standardize existing offerings to support further productization.
• Support sales team to drive opportunities within current clients, provide exceptional account management, and participate in regular business reviews. 
• Support delivery teams by providing high level quality control and oversite for existing enterprise clients, determining clients’ needs, mapping and designing new solutions, projecting timelines, and holding periodic reviews with clients. 
• Collaborate with multi-cultural teams and across different time zones.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor
• 8+ years’ experience practicing as a patent attorney in a law firm or corporation.
• Conversant in the entire IP life cycle
• Experience with IP operations, including outsourced services
• Experience collaborating with global teams
• Strong consultative and problem-solving skills at a cross-functional level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Up to 25% travel is expected, including some international travel.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000/year. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
