Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, Consumer Engagement and Brand Analytics role is responsible for developing strategic marketing analytics for products and initiatives in partnership with the Consumer Engagement and Brand team within Growth. This role will work cross-functionally with other analytics CoEs, central performance marketing and demand generation teams, client marketing, loyalty, and credit teams to own the analytics and insights required to scope, prioritize, and bring to market strategic and technology investments related to engaging customers across Synchrony’s communication channels. He/she will also lead planning, measurement and optimization of consumer engagement and brand campaigns. This is a hands-on role that requires daily use of analytical, data-mining, and segmentation tools as well as strong knowledge of test design, campaign performance optimization, behavioral segmentation, and market insights using a test & learn approach. This role will actively engage and partner with senior leadership in Consumer Engagement and Brand, requiring strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide data driven insights to address business needs, prioritize technology and monetary investments in Consumer Engagement programs, such as ACE, and forecast potential range of benefits
Tie quantitative and qualitative learnings to enhance brand positioning and create co-evolving relationships between personas and more deterministic audience segments for targeting
Be a shopper expert, providing competitive insights and consulting for merchant partners using Synchrony’s robust consumer and transaction data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate external data sources and vendor marketing models to enhance sales, revenue, and experience KPIs at the consumer level
Develop and provide insights and recommendations to cross functional teams and agencies to optimize program efficiency
Act as a trusted advisor to solve complex business problems and provide actionable recommendations based upon data driven insights.
Develop and groom relationships with portfolio senior leadership, GM, Marketing and client to become the SME on consumer level strategies and KPIs
Support ad-hoc strategic initiatives and projects as needed
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
