Dentsu is looking for a VP, Commercial Finance.This role is focused on supporting the commercial relationship for key media accounts.  This includes client management and interaction, oversight of a segment P&L, and leading external and internal forecasts, reporting requirements, and pricings.   The role will provide leadership and financial support on all commercial matters for dentsu media investment business.   

It requires a dedicated individual, with a strong understanding of financial matters, and close attention to detail.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client management – manage client commercial conversations including contract management, pricing, reporting, and ad-hoc needs
  • Project pricing – utilize pricing tool and strategy to work cross-functionally to price projects/pitches
  • Business partnering – collaoborate closely with client president and account leads as key point of contact on financial matters
  • P&L management – manage the P&L including monthly forecast and actuals reconciliation.  Present the monthly forecast to executive management and utilize to manage and approve costs including staffing, intercompany transfers, and accrual management
  • External client reporting – ensuring we are contractually compliant with the ongoing reporting requirements
  • Cost management – provide guidance on key cost initiatives and reporting
  • Contract compliance – ensure contractual compliance of all financial obligations to each international client, often dealing with external & internal auditors and client procurement teams.
  • Management – lead, manage and review the work of more junior members of the commercial team to ensure client and internal requirements are delivered.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years experience in a finance, preferably in Client Finance or Commercial Finance with working knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Independent, self-starter with problem solving skills
  • Superior organization abilities and the ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
  • Strong team collaborator with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
  • Attention to detail
  • Team leadership experience and skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

**Working knowledge of Microsoft D365 and SAP/BPC preferred but not required

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($136,000-$219,000). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
