Voter Engagement Fellow

PICO California is a multi-racial, multi-faith state network comprising ten local affiliates who organize across 18 counties and represent 500 congregations and nearly 650,000 Californians. Our mission is to catalyze faith-based and spiritually centered people’s power in California to create systemic change for the most vulnerable so that all Californians thrive. Through our member organizations, PICO California unites people of diverse economic, racial, ethnic, and faith backgrounds around a vision of shared prosperity and racial justice. Since 1994, PICO California has been at the forefront of organizing working families to reform our immigration system, improve schools, increase access to health care, end mass incarceration, and improve the quality of life for our families and our communities.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the upcoming election? Become a Voter Engagement Fellow! You’ll have the opportunity to engage with thousands of voters across California and encourage them to vote by Election Day. Join a dedicated team, receive comprehensive training to prepare you for the role, and contribute to a powerful voter engagement program. This is a seasonal position until November 6, 2024.

What We’re Looking For:

• Motivated individuals with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Commitment to social and racial justice
• Ability to work evenings, Sunday through Thursday (2:30 pm-7:30 pm)
• Familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, virtual meeting platforms like Zoom and cloud-based systems such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
• Proficient in basic computer typing skills with an understanding of common functions and shortcuts

Compensation and Benefits 

Based in California, this remote position offers an hourly rate of $22 for up to 30 hours per week. There are no additional benefits associated with this role. You will receive a $20 per pay period reimbursement for using your computer and the internet.
