Who we are

Purpose Venture Group (PVG) is a rapidly growing consulting firm that partners exclusively with venture-backed startups, market leaders and large nonprofits focused on advancing the health of our climate. We collaborate with our climate-centered clients to design and deliver new products and ventures, develop compelling financial plans and build businesses that deliver both profit and impact.

We focus on three sectors—financial services, built environment and mobility— where we have decades of collective experience as investors, builders and operators.

About the Role:

Purpose Venture Group is hiring a Vice President who will make an immediate impact on the firm’s client work, help build the firm’s capabilities and contribute to the thriving, inclusive and collaborative culture that makes PVG special.

This is a manager-level position and a highly visible, externally-facing role. In a collaborative team setting, VPs drive the day-to-day work of consulting engagements with support but minimal direction from the firm’s partners. To succeed in the role, VPs must possess 1) superior analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills; 2) strong interpersonal and communication skills; and 3) domain expertise relevant to our climate-focused clients. At PVG, VPs manage multiple client projects simultaneously.

Depending on client needs, this role may involve moderate amounts of business travel, although most of our project work is done virtually.

When necessary, you will devise and execute research to support client engagements and internal PVG initiatives, such as market landscape surveys, competitive landscape analyses and public policy reviews. You supervise the creation of decks, memos, financial analysis and other client-facing content that communicate PVG's perspectives and “take the pen” as necessary to ensure these deliverables communicate in compelling, thoughtful, and impactful ways. You also orchestrate and/or lead client presentations and working sessions to ensure expectations are aligned, and key client opinions and expertise are reflected in our work.

Firm Strategy: You seize opportunities to increase PVG’s client base and client …
