Description

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract, engage, and retain top talent across all levels of the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in recruitment, talent management, and organizational development. The VP of Talent Acquisition will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align recruitment efforts with the company’s growth objectives and culture.  This role reports to the Chief People Officer and is a member of the HR Leadership Team, with responsibility for hiring 2,000+ employees a year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals and growth plans. Identify key talent needs and create a roadmap for achieving recruitment objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence within the recruitment function.
  • Talent Sourcing and Recruitment: Oversee the development and execution of innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent. Ensure a streamlined and effective recruitment process that enhances the candidate experience and meets the company’s hiring needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, hiring managers, and HR teams to understand staffing requirements and business objectives. Provide guidance on workforce planning, talent mapping, and market trends.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance and promote the company’s employer brand to attract high-quality candidates. Leverage social media, industry events, and other channels to build and maintain a positive reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, track key performance indicators, and make informed decisions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process. Ensure a diverse talent pipeline and promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional HR certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in talent acquisition, with a track record of success in a senior leadership role.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience managing people in a geographically disperse recruitment function.  Prior experience with high volume recruiting is required.  
  • Experience at a high-growth company and in a fast-paced environment is required.  
  • Ability to travel 25-40% is required.  
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, labor market trends, and talent management best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and the use of recruitment technology and tools.
  • A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
