What will you be doing?

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company and build a public-company caliber Financial Reporting function, from the ground up. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing accurate and timely financial reporting while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This role will lead the preparation of the financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures for quarterly and annual management reporting and future SEC reports, as well as help manage the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting. Other areas of responsibility include oversight of all consolidation activities, intercompany accounting, and equity compensation accounting. The role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements for the Company, including preparation of the cash flow statement and EBITDA/EBITDAC statements.
  • Manage the preparation and review of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other financial regulatory filings), including financial statements, footnotes, management's discussion, and analysis (MD&A), and all other required disclosures.
  • Research, document, and discuss complex accounting and reporting issues related to significant Company transactions.
  • Lead the implementation of new SEC reporting requirements and accounting standards within the Company, including any system changes or process improvements.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the integrity of all financial information.
  • Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Support the preparation of periodic covenant calculations and pro-forma financial statements to ensure compliance with the Company’s Credit Agreement.
  • Assist in the preparation of earnings releases, investor presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on corporate sustainability reporting.
  • Support the preparation of materials for the Audit Committee.
  • Provide training and mentoring to develop a high-performing team.
  • Participate in special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis as required.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 5+ years in a role focused on SEC reporting, preferably for a global company; 2+ years of experience in a public accounting firm servicing U.S. public companies.
  • Deep knowledge of technical accounting and SEC rules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills in building high-performing teams and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Experience with Workiva, Adaptive, and NetSuite is a plus.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $210,000.
