What will you be doing?

Build and manage a portfolio of Circana measurement products supporting Consumer Packaged Goods, General Merchandise, Retail, and Media clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • A high energy individual who drives products that have material impact on the global Circana organization and its vision to transform the way Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), General Merchandise, and Food, Drug and Mass Merchant (FDM) retailers do business.
  • Be a domain expert in CPG, Retail and General Merchandise sales and market measurement
  • Lead multiple concurrent products leveraging multiple business units/functions with both on-shore and off-shore resources/teams
  • Technology is central to this transformation and as the transformation accelerates so does the need to grow Circana’s Product Management skillset.
  • Work on complex and multi-faceted products specific to market/media measurement, in store testing, and consumer insights.
  • Place projects within a manageable scope; identify key business issues and questions to be addressed; assure all open items are addressed and demonstrate a high degree of social and political IQ when synthesizing a single strategy from multiple viewpoints.
  • While activities will vary and evolve, the Product Manager can expect to spend 80% of their time coordinating, leading, writing business requirement, envisioning and building the product with diverse teams from Sales, Technology, Operations, and Product. The remaining 20% will be allocated to developing and executing impactful project communication within the Product team and with all stakeholders up to the level of CEO.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of software-oriented product management experience in one or more of the settings below:
    • Market research supplier with a defined software offering
    • Software company (retail-oriented software company preferred)
  • Expert user of collaboration software such as Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Project Management software experience (Monday.com) is a plus
  • Experience managing complex products
  • Proven ability to think strategically
  • A flexible approach to communication; able to adapt their message quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polish. A history of strong performance at the C-level is required
  • Self-motivated; a healthy sense of impatience
  • Proven skills to thrive and build products in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment; comfort/confidence making decisions with 70% of the facts in-hand
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience
  • Ideally, reside in or be willing to relocate to Chicago, Illinois or vicinity
  • Experience with client facing products
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree is a plus

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Chicago, US + Hybrid, US (Willingness to travel to Chicago on a monthly basis)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000.

 

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
