What will you be doing?

The Vice President will play a pivotal role in transforming the Retail industry and how retailers leverage their Retail Media platforms to deliver optimized experiences & personalized communications to their shoppers. Delivering simple, easy-to-use solutions, like Circana’s Liquid Data Engage platform, will be central to how Retailers embed media offerings into their day-to-day decision-making. This role will be responsible for helping Circana develop a portfolio of solutions to help our retail media clients achieve these objectives.

 

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Product Manager who is comfortable working in a start-up environment where speed-to-market must be achieved in tandem with game-changing innovation. She/he will be experienced in driving complex, multi-faceted solutions across the vast landscape of Retail channels leveraging diverse, cross-functional teams including Technology, Product Marketing, Commercial Sales, and HR. She/he will be responsible for designing, implementing, and constantly improving Circana’s retail media solution across new markets; demonstrating a high level of social and political intelligence while requiring a “start-up” approach across all facets of the product delivery process. While activities will vary and evolve, the Product Manager can expect to spend 80% of their time leading and coordinating the design & delivery of Circana’s new retail media solutions. The remaining 20% will be allocated to developing and executing impactful project communication within the Senior Leadership team and with all stakeholders up to the level of CEO.

 

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of the retail media eco-system (i.e. Publisher & MarTech environment, DSP, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of the retail media data (i.e. Ad-Serve, Ad-Exposure, Ad-Measurement)
  • Deep knowledge of a retailer’s media properties (i.e. Owned, Off-site, Inventory Mgmt., etc.)
  • Ten or more years of SaaS solution design & delivery experience in one or more of the settings below:
    • Retail Media (Retailer, 3rd-party DSP, LiveRamp, etc.)
    • Retail shopper marketing experience (Grocery, Drug, Mass, Club, etc.)
    • SaaS solution company (retail-oriented media software company preferred)
  • Product Management Certification (i.e. AIPMM, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of cloud, hybrid, and on-premise computing concepts (i.e. Azure, Google, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of Data & Database Management concepts (i.e. MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of BPA & ETL concepts (i.e. Ab-Initio, Apache Airflow, etc.)
  • A flexible approach to communication; able to adapt their message quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polish. A history of strong performance at the C-level is a plus
  • Self-motivated; a healthy sense of impatience; start-up-level urgency
  • Proven skills to thrive and drive project results in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment; comfort/confidence making decisions with 70% of the facts in-hand
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience
  • Ideally, reside in or be willing to relocate to Chicago, Illinois or vicinity
  • Experience with client facing projects
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree is a plus

This position can be located in the following area(s): US Remote; Chicago preferred 

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is [$120,000.00 to $200,000.00K].
