About the Job

Levi’s is also embarking on a transformation to drive a shorter go to market, and digital tools is a key enabler of this.

This leader will lead the vision and delivery of a portfolio of products / tools for both stylists in our 3000 stores across the globe but also for teams part of our go-to-market processes: design, merchandising, product development, merch planning, inventory management, sales and customer service. This represents a digital portfolio annual spend of $XX++MM.

  • Product Creation: product lifecycle management (PLM), 3D Design Tools, Pricing, Promotion & Markdown tools, assortment building tool (Assortify)
  • Planning: demand forecasting, sizing, allocation and inventory management
  • Selling & Service: Wholesale CRM solution, digital showroom tool, b2b sales tool, marketplace & drop-ship models
  • Retail Experience: Point of Sale & MPOS, Payments, Gift Cards, Workforce Management, Learning & Development Tools, Task Management, Traffic Counters, Endless Aisle Experience
  • Retail Inventory & Fulfillment: Store Receiving, Counting & Replenishment Tools (RFID based), Ship from Store, Buy Online Pick up In Store, Online Returns in Store
  • Other Foundations: digital asset management (DAM), product information management (PIM)

You and your team will define and drive the product strategy, experiences and roadmap delivery for products in these portfolios. You will craft product vision, co-develop Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), and define roadmaps with your team to best meet those OKRs. You will need to build strong collaboration with the business, as well as engineering and data science.

Your stakeholder management skills will also be critically important managing for needs and priorities across several key business units, including:

  • Managing Directors, Retail and Ecommerce Leaders of our six geographies (US-Canada, Mexico-LATAM, Europe, South Asia & Africa, Greater China and Rest of Asia)
  • Heads of Sales of two predominant geographies (US-CA and Europe)
  • Heads of Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Planning and Customer Service (SVP Level)

Details of the Job

  • 1. Product Strategy & Vision
    • Define clear product vision and strategy for each product in the portfolio
    • Support your team to define use cases and experiences to engage, inspire, and connect Levi’s consumers that are consistent with our brand and deliver compelling consumer experiences
    • Define the end to end role of digital tools in a future go to market; drive change across the organization as ways of working adapts
    • Continue to keep a pulse on retail industry trends, how peers are utilizing AI/ML and other platforms
    • Motivate and inspire your team and stakeholders to champion the product vision, goals, strategy, and benefits
    • Help drive the digital transformation across the company, with a clear product strategy across your portfolio
    • Have a clear understanding of Levi’s Go to Market processes and store operating model to ensure product strategy and delivery is impactful
  • 2. Stakeholder Management
    • Drive effective communication methods/forums with stakeholders, e.g., quarterly business reviews (OKR progress, wins/misses, upcoming priorities, learnings) and annual operating plans
    • Ensure progress and challenges are communicated to stakeholders  and internal team members; support as needed with leader 1:1s
  • 3. Build a best in class team
    • Recruit and retain top talent, including product manager, operations leads, UX/UI designers and 3D designers
    • Provide mentorship, guidance and professional development opportunities
    • Ensure clear role definitions and competencies for optimal team placement and career development
    • Support your team where they need your help (defining OKRs, decisions with competing priorities, unblocking challenges, debating solution concepts, reviewing data to ensure your product is performing)
  • 4. Product Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including identifying pain points, determining OKRs, identifying concepts to meet those OKRS and distilling those into stories / requirements, prioritize as needed, ensuring development is progressing and producing an expected outcome/acceptance criteria, testing, and rollout  
    • Ensure your teams partner with the relevant user groups / business teams to deeply understand needs, and be the voice of users to deliver the best solution against those needs
    • Ensure partnership with UX designers to ensure the usability and intuitiveness of digital tools, optimizing workflows and enhancing user experience
    • Ensure teams develop rollout, training, and implementation plans to drive adoption and utilization that will meet or exceed expected outcomes is undertaken across all GTM and stylist tools as relevant
    • Evaluate as needed in relevant domains when to build vs buy a solution/tool
    • Partner with leaders to increase adoption of new ways of working
  • 5. Engineering & Data Science Partnership
    • Partner with engineering, data science and delivery teams to ensure that concepts/features defined are delivered that drive our OKRs
    • Work with above teams to design, build, integrate new technologies, and improve system architecture for scalability and reliability
  • 6. Data and Insights
    • Ensure the team utilizes data analytics and metrics to track product performance, user engagement, and feedback
    • Support data driven decision making for product improvements and portfolio focus areas.
    • Utilize data and insights to determine most important focus areas at a portfolio level
  • 7. Financials and impact
    • Ensure business case are created across products, with key performance indicators (KPIs) identified and tracked

About You 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry, with a focus on digital tools and technology solutions
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing product roadmaps
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, product development processes, and UX/UI design principles
  • Experience in conducting research to identify end user needs and gaps and demonstrated ability to translate those needs into creative and engaging output
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to craft compelling narratives to convey product strategy and progress to stakeholders with a strong focus on business outcomes
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience working with enterprise-level software systems and cloud-based platforms
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to drive innovation and adapt to evolving market dynamics.
  • Executes with excellence – is action-oriented, drives for results, set clear expectations and milestones, reviews progress, acts decisively, can be counted on to meet goals
  • Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones and regions  

The expected starting salary range for this role is $255,500-$379,500. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
