YOUR ROLE AS VP OF ENGINEERING AT 0x

In this role, you’ll lead engineering across all our products, covering Matcha, 0x API, Pricing Engine, and Platform. It is a senior and highly motivated team. Your mission will be to keep the engineering team moving quickly and flexibly and shape and foster the engineering culture for the company.

You’ll effectively bridge communication from business leaders to the engineering team, and vice versa. You’ll help the team maintain a healthy pace for long-term sustainability by carefully balancing velocity vs. technical debt. You’ll be a steward and key influencer for both engineering and company culture.

On any given day, you may work with the CEO’s direct reports on business or organizational strategy, make priority calls on roadmap items and feature vs. technical debt tradeoffs, adjust team structure to better align with the business and market conditions, coach team members irrespective of their function, develop strong technical and managerial leaders, or review a functional specification.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the engineering culture at 0x Labs and what it means to be an engineer on the team.
  • Establish engineering-wide structure, processes, and systems. Identify opportunities for improvement or new teams that should be created.
  • Develop a hiring plan that allows our team to achieve its vision. Prioritize hiring and staffing to attract top engineering talent from a diverse spectrum of backgrounds, helping 0x Labs get even stronger as we grow.
  • Set engineering-wide goals and help the team to deliver on those metrics. Measure and improve team engagement and productivity.
