What will you be doing?

The Vice President of Global Ethics & Compliance plays a critical role in setting the strategy and overseeing the Company’s Global Ethics & Compliance program (“Compliance Program”). This position requires a combination of strategic vision, leadership, and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape.

This role will ensure full implementation of the elements of an effective ethics & compliance program as set forth by the US Department of Justice. In this role, the Vice President will also help re-set the vision and strategy for the function, shape and influence the organization’s strategy, drive collaboration and synergies, co-create and develop ethics & compliance policies, practices, culture, education, and awareness, and evaluate and manage risk.

This role will report to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and will support and manage the Company’s compliance team as well as collaborate closely with other senior leadership, corporate business functions, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in successfully overseeing broad-based, global ethics & compliance programs.

Job Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop, enhance, and deliver a company-wide, risk-based ethics & compliance strategy. Align compliance functions across the enterprise to best serve the businesses.
  • Lead and develop the culture and values of the company to include ethics & compliance standards that further enhance the image and reputation of the company.
  • Drive accountability and awareness of our Speak Up culture.
  • Support and manage the Global Ethics & Compliance team.
  • Drive the strategy for the Compliance Program in accordance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements, and including the company’s strategic goals, as appropriate.
  • Proactively monitor developments and changes to applicable guidance (e.g., DOJ, OFAC) and make recommendations applicable to the operations and strategy of the Compliance Program.
  • Proactively drive enterprise risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the Compliance Program is seamlessly integrated into business processes.
  • Monitor and regularly report on the operation and progress of ethics & compliance efforts.

Policy Development

  • Oversee the management of the Compliance Program’s global policies and the Code of Conduct; develop new global policies as required by legislature or regulatory changes; provide guidance to leadership and employees.
  • Collaborate with other functions by providing guidance and support to develop other Company policies which may overlap or intersect with the Compliance Program.
  • Monitor and drive the adherence to compliance policies and procedures.

Investigations

  • Oversee the investigation and evaluation of allegations of policy and legal violations in partnership with the Legal and HR functions.
  • Conduct root cause analyses when necessary and develop and ensure implementation of corrective action plans in partnership with the business.
  • Provide quarterly reporting on key trends and issues which may be developing, such as in specific locations or in specific functional areas.

Training and Education

  • Design and develop company-wide training, engagement and communication strategy for compliance initiatives including activities such as messaging, websites, town halls, workshops, newsletters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate or Masters degree
  • 10+ years relevant experience in ethics and compliance
  • Ability to make solid judgment calls under pressure
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including ability to build strategic alignments with key constituents across the company
  • Strong leadership skills, including strategic planning and project management preferred
  • Strong people and change management skills
  • Ability to understand multiple technology applications
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Successful track record implementing/creating a proactive ethical culture in which ethics & compliance and business objectives are mutually reinforcing
  • Strong motivation and ability to champion a comprehensive ethics & compliance program that is integrated with the company’s business planning, operations, and culture.

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, USA.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $170,000.00 to $210,000.00. 

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
