What this role is all about:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to lead the evolution and execution of enterprise-wide delivery capabilities at Beem Credit Union. Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Innovation Officer, the Vice President will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling Agile, hybrid, and project delivery methodologies across the organization to drive transformation, accelerate time-to-value, and enable cross-functional alignment.
This role oversees a team that defines the standards and frameworks while also delivering key strategic programs and initiatives using those methods. The ideal candidate is an expert in enterprise Agile transformation and Project Management Office (PMO) leadership, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence change.
This role is open to remote working arrangements within BC, Ontario or Alberta.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Leadership & Operating Model
• Lead the design and evolution of an enterprise delivery operating model that integrates Agile, hybrid, and project management frameworks, aligned with the company’s innovation and growth strategy.
• Develop and govern enterprise-wide standards, policies, frameworks, tools, and processes to support scalable and predictable delivery across the organization.
• Provide regular reporting on progress, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), outcomes, and risks to the Chief Product & Innovation Officer and Executive Leadership Team, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives.
• Act as a thought leader and internal champion for Agile and project delivery excellence.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and program sponsors, offering insights and recommendations to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Program & Project Management
• Oversee the planning and execution of enterprise-wide programs and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines and budgets.
• Lead the development of a high-performing Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), ensuring governance, resource alignment, and integration with strategic priorities.
• Define, implement, and continually enhance enterprise-wide frameworks and tools for project and program governance, intake, prioritization, and execution.
• Structure initiatives into a cohesive and prioritized portfolio, managing interdependencies and optimizing resources through cross-functional collaboration and proactive risk mitigation.
Agile Enablement
• Drive the adoption of Agile principles and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, Scrum@Scale, etc.) to increase cross-functional collaboration and accelerate time-to-value.
• Embed agility into delivery operations to enhance adaptability, responsiveness, and continuous value delivery.
• Establish and lead an Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) to provide coaching, training, and resources to empower teams and promote an enterprise-wide agile mindset.
• Champion an agile culture rooted in experimentation, rapid iteration, transparency and customer-centricity.
Transformation, Collaboration & Change Enablement
• Partner closely with senior leaders across all departments to ensure initiatives are aligned with enterprise priorities and strategic outcomes.
• Develop new collaboration practices that break down silos and integrate teams, functions, and processes across the organization.
• Collaborate with organizational change management (OCM) and project teams to implement effective change strategies, ensuring adoption of new ways of working while minimizing organizational disruption.
Delivery Excellence Oversight
• Lead and oversee cross-functional delivery teams executing enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective delivery - on time, within budget, and drives measurable value.
• Provide strategic oversight across the initiative portfolio, maintaining visibility into KPIs, financials, resource capacity, dependencies, and risks to support executive decision-making.
• Optimize project sequencing and ensure alignment with enterprise strategic priorities.
• Manage resource allocation and oversee the full project lifecycle within the EPMO, ensuring consistent delivery standards and outcomes.
• Provide hands-on guidance for critical initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, empowerment, and accountability.
Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the delivery enablement team, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in agility, collaboration, and innovation.
• Promote cross-functional teamwork and creative approaches to solving business challenges.
• Provide development opportunities to enhance skills, increase adaptability, and support career progression.
• Model leadership behaviours that empower teams, reinforce accountability, and align with the organization values.
What you'll bring:
• 12+ years of progressive experience in delivery leadership, Agile transformation, or EPMO roles, including 8+ years in senior leadership positions.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs within regulated or high-stakes environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent are required.
• Deep expertise in Agile and hybrid delivery models, with experience scaling frameworks such as LeSS, Scrum@Scale, etc. across business and technology teams.
• Strong command of project and portfolio management disciplines, governance frameworks, and financial oversight practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Adept at influencing, collaborating, and driving results in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
What you’ll gain:
- The salary range for this position is $184,000 - $204,000
