Vice President, Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced customer-focused Vice President of Engineering to lead our global engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-native high-quality software as a service that scales to the needs of hundreds of large enterprise customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, Quality Engineering, and Operations, to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the engineering roadmap and align it with the company's overall strategic objectives. 
    • Develop and execute plans to achieve these objectives, ensuring scalability and efficiency in software development processes.
  • Technical Excellence:
    • Oversee the architecture and design of the platform, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
    • Obsess over non-functional requirements, such as, performance, scalability, security, availability, extensibility and observability.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into the company's products and services.
  • Product Development:
    • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to design, development, testing, and deployment.
    • Collaborate with product management, design, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of innovative and user-centric solutions.
    • Proactively identify and address issues to minimize any negative impact on product delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Team Management:
    • Build and scale a high-performing engineering team, attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
    • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Establish and maintain robust engineering processes, tools, and frameworks to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
    • Monitor and manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
