Affirm’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is focused on enabling informed risk based decisions by establishing enterprise standards, governance practices and independent risk oversight programs to safeguard our business, people and brand. ERM runs several risk focused programs and we're seeking a Vendor Risk Management Lead to guide and manage risk oversight activities for Affirm's third-parties throughout the engagement lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage third-party risk management queues which include initial onboarding, periodic assessments, offboarding and external due diligence requests to ensure appropriate actions are taken to engage or disengage with third-parties 
  • Develop risk mitigation and issue remediation plans for identified third-party risks and/or issues
  • Establish and maintain third-party risk reporting and prepare risk committee materials to inform leadership of risk exposure as well as make recommendations on how to reduce risk exposure
  • Collaborate with risk subject matter experts and other business stakeholders to build and implement processes and tools that improve third-party risk oversight 
  • Enhance the TPRM Program’s policy, standards, procedures, and tooling and expand the Program’s scope across Affirm’s third-party network
  • Handle internal and external audit requests related to TPRM activities
  • Support the execution of broader ERM programs as necessary including: 
    • Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery Program 
    • Risk Management Committee Administration
    • Issue Management Program
    • Policy Governance
    • Product Governance

What We Look For

  • 4-6 years of professional work experience in third-party risk, operational risk or enterprise risk in a regulated environment, preferably in banking or financial services
  • 4-year college/university degree; in lieu of this, we will consider additional years of experience beyond the 4-6 years listed above
  • Self-starter with the desire to ramp up quickly, collaborate, execute and propose alternative or creative solutions when necessary
  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills
  • Resourceful and can work well independently
  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications: Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Docs, etc.

Base Pay Grade - J

Equity Grade - 4

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).

CAN base pay range per year: $102,000 - $142,000
