TripleTen is a remote-first organization mirroring our students who complete our bootcamps in a remote environment.

Our Tutor- Reviewers play a critical role in supporting students throughout their learning journey. They are responsible for assessing student projects, providing detailed feedback, guiding them in improving their work to industry standards, and offering direct assistance in understanding complex concepts. This role ensures that students receive comprehensive, actionable feedback on their projects and timely guidance on challenges they encounter.

What you will do

• Review and assess student projects based on our program's standards and UX/UI best practices.
• Provide detailed, written feedback on projects, pointing out errors, highlighting areas for improvement, and guiding students on how to meet professional standards.
• Communicate with students on Discord in text — they deal with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of theory, helping with code debugging, helping understanding the task, pointing out difference between concepts, supporting and navigating students in their projects, and clarify any review-feedback questions. Validate and correct responses from the AI Learning Assistant, ensuring accurate and valuable guidance.
• Proactively identify students who need more in-depth assistance and provide targeted support.
• Communicate regularly with the internal team, sharing insights about student needs and AI bot performance.

Requirements

2+ years of UX/UI design experience or equivalent expertise in:

• Design Review: Skilled in evaluating projects through a user-centered lens, with attention to visual hierarchy, accessibility, and design fundamentals.
• Prototyping and Interaction Design: Comfortable with industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, or InVision, capable of guiding students in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
• UX Research & Testing: Experience with usability testing, user research methods, and data interpretation to support students in validating their design decisions.
• Accessibility & Ethical Design: Familiar with inclusive design principles and capable of advising students on accessibility standards.
• Communication Skills: Strong written English skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and provide constructive, supportive feedback.
• Passion for Tutoring: A patient and approachable attitude, able to break down challenging concepts for students, guiding them to grow in their skills and understanding.
• Proficiency in Discord: Comfortable engaging with students on Discord, both in group settings and one-on-one.
• AI Bot Oversight: Ability to review and correct AI-generated responses, providing feedback to improve AI performance.
• Commitment: Willing to work full-time aligned with US time zones.
• Adaptability: Readiness to dedicate time to both detailed project reviews and active tutoring, with a balance of structured and flexible hours.

Additional Qualities We Value:

• Experience in online learning, preferably having been a student in an online program.
• Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience, particularly in UX/UI or related fields.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals.
• Ability to provide feedback through several iterations of project review, ensuring students reach the desired level of proficiency.
