  • Support Designers in Research Efforts: Work with product designers to run some research studies on their own and ensure they’re following best practices.
  • Insight Finding: Analyze research data to provide actionable insights
  • Artifact Creation: Map user journeys (user flows) and create UX personas to help better understand your target users
  • Research Readouts: Present research findings to senior leadership, product teams, the UX teams, and other key stakeholders to help shape design decisions

The Right Candidate Will Be:

  • Curious and teachable: Ready to listen and learn. Able to recognize and defuse your own bias.
  • Self-directing: As a small team, we aren’t interested in micromanaging. You understand how to process intent and then chart a course to deliver value without constant oversight. Should be able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Pragmatic: We have a small team and can’t test everything we’d like. Prioritize. Understand what delivers the most business value.
  • Humble and down-to-earth: You’re not driven by ego, but by the desire to make our experiences and our team successful. You lift people up instead of tearing them down. You never set out to look smarter than everyone or make others feel dumb.
  • Able to disagree without being disagreeable: In a research role, you’ll need to be able to influence partners to listen to guidance they may not want to hear. But you do that in a way that builds relationships.
  • Calm, measured, authoritative: When you talk, people listen. You don’t come across as combative or rigid. Instead, you deftly use insights and verbatims to influence partners and projects.
