Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative UX Research Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding and evaluating user experiences, conducting user research, analyzing user behavior, identifying areas of improvement, and transforming these insights into actionable recommendations to enhance our products. 

As a member of the team you, will have the opportunity to directly contribute and deliver solutions that are intuitive, employee centric, inclusive, and accessible for Visa’s core people platforms. The role will be focused on creating solutions that meet the real needs of our end users by understanding the context in which users interact with a product or service, involving them in the design process through research, testing, and feedback. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure our products meet user needs and expectations.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and recommend research needs at integral points of a product lifecycle.   
  • Conduct and lead user research initiatives such as interviews, focus groups, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights about user behaviors and needs. 
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings to develop user personas, problem statements, customer journey maps, and user flow diagrams. 
  • Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to translate research insights into actionable design recommendations and product enhancements. 
  • Advocate for the user throughout the design process, ensuring that our products are user-friendly, accessible, and enjoyable to use. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX research techniques and industry trends, and share these insights with the team. 
  • Create and present detailed and compelling reports that clearly communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders. 
  • Influence product decisions by providing evidence-based recommendations and advocating for the user perspective.  
  • Establish touchpoints for the product team to learn directly from end users.  
  • Lead and participate in design thinking workshops. 
  • Program level topics include (total rewards statements, onboarding, preboarding, learning, employee relations, gen AI).  

Key Attributes: 

  • Proven experience as a UX Researcher or similar role. 
  • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and thought processes. 
  • Proficiency in using UX research tools. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Empathy for the user, with a deep passion for understanding and advocating for their needs. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. 

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 3+ years of professional experience conducting user research
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field or BA/BS and equivalent industry experience in a product-centric environment
  • Proven experience in UX research, preferably in a tech or product-focused environment.
  • Proficient in using research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Hotjar, etc.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for improving user experiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch or coding languages like HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing stakeholder relationships at all levels

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 95,200.00 to 134,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
