About the Role
As a User Acceptance Testing Lead on our Customer Team, you will develop and manage the entire User Acceptance Testing process, ensuring both new and existing claim submission -and handling designs meet the expectations and requirements of both end-users and internal users. At Cover Genius, you are the expert in building both the UAT framework and individual user cases to test the customer journey from claim submission to claim handling across verticals.
To drive success in this role, you will have extensive experience in leading the QA process, including creating test plans, managing testing resources, and ensuring that software releases meet quality standards. You must be proficient in using JIRA for project management and issue tracking. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.  Regular collaboration with the process engineering, product and operational teams will be key in ensuring valuable product and process implementations are achieved.

What will your day look like? You will...

  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements
  • Manage the UAT process, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (development, product management, etc.) to identify risks, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, security, and usability
  • Utilize JIRA effectively for bug reporting, tracking, and resolution, as well as for managing the backlog of defects and improvement requests
  • Coordinate and manage UAT processes, working closely with end users and business stakeholders to ensure their needs are met

To help us level up, you'll ideally have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Process improvement with exposure to QA/UAT projects
  • Proven track record of successfully leading QA teams and delivering high-quality software products
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and tools
  • Proficiency in using JIRA for project management and issue tracking
  • Familiarity with ZenDesk is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Certification in relevant QA/testing frameworks is a plus (e.g., ISTQB, CAPM).

Compensation range - MEX$ 330,000 - 477,000 per year
