As the US Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for all activities regarding US payroll processing and administration, including tasks such as entering payroll information, conducting precise calculations, and safeguarding the confidentiality of employee records.

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the US Payroll Administrator will undertake the following RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data into payroll system (ADP WFN) as well as retrieving data when necessary;
- Process new hires and onboarding of new employees and termination; review accuracy and completeness of the information received and investigate/follow up on any anomalies and discrepancies;
- Assist in ensuring accurate tracking of vacation and sick balances;
- Respond to inquiries and requests in payroll ticketing system;
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end calculations and reports;
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with various departments, managers and employees;
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes;
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential;
- Communicate with leaders, employees, colleagues and service providers in a professional manner;
- Process ad hoc requests as assigned and support senior team members in tasks as assigned;
- Respond and fulfil requests for employment verifications, IRS requests, WCB and wage garnishment requests
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purpose, in accordance with statutory requirements
- Maintains a wide variety of payroll information, files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance;
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. timesheets, leave forms, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 3-5 years' of recent multi-state US payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Proficiency in ADP WFN (preferred) or similar payroll systems, internal controls and management
- Experience processing payroll for hourly, salaried, and bonus-based compensation
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, etc.)
- Ability to prepare ad-hoc reports using MS Excel
- Strong analytical, planning, and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data processing
- Ability to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
- Openness to feedback and willingness to learn, thrives in collaborative environments
- Strong customer service focus, work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of US legal and regulatory compliance and procedures including labour laws and employment standards
Preferred:
- PCP designation or actively working towards designation
- Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Business or Finance is preferred or combination of education and work experience
- Role is open to applicants in Canada, however, preference will be for candidates located in Vancouver or Toronto

This salary range is based on an assessment of the local market and may vary depending on the successful candidate's location. This range is based on base salary and does not include additional bonus program and total rewards eligibility.
