US Localization Team Lead

United States - Remote

Responsible for overseeing a team of project managers while handling a client portfolio from the production perspective; ensuring customer expectations are met in terms of turnaround time, quality, and price while in parallel ensuring profit margin optimization, providing day-to-day training, mentoring and capacity management for the project management team.

Main Responsibilities

•      Responsible for direct reports, providing day-to-day training, proactive mentoring, and capacity management of the project management team.

•      Responsible for service execution including compliance to deadlines, standards/methodology, budget/margin optimization, quality standards, and status reporting.

•      Oversee customer quotes, job setup, and scheduling (per defined thresholds, collaborating with Account Management for complex quotes and those requiring validation).

•      Participate in revenue forecasting for portfolio, with input from team members, sales, and account management.

•      Oversee customer feedback, entry of CAPAs, and completion of investigations.   

•      Collaborates with Resource Management, linguists, technical leads on appropriate resourcing and query management based on client need(s).

•      Strong customer communication and ownership, as well as internal communication with direct reports and across departments.

•      Collaborates with Account and Program Managers to define new processes/procedures and tool optimization for customers.

•      Ensure linguistic material such as Translation Memory, glossaries, and style guides are consistently updated and delivered per client SLAs.

•      Participate in pre-sales activities and prepare supporting documentation as needed.

•      Participate in quality audits, recognize opportunities for improvement, and implement the corresponding changes as needed.

•  Works with Program Manager and Account Manager to successfully onboard new clients to the team portfolio.

Requirements

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree in Translation or other degree or equivalent work experience

Professional Experience

5-7 years of practical experience in project management, especially in coordinating language service projects.

2-3 years managing people in the localization industry.

Excellent Customer oriented

Experience in Project Management

Experience in People Management

Excellent Analytical skills

Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge of CAT Tools

Preferred knowledge in Design tools (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)

Salary base range for this position is between $60K to $75K, dependent upon experience and physical location. This position is eligible for variable compensation in addition to the base salary.
