US Immigration Consultant

The US Immigration Consultant will be primarily responsible for executing on the day-to-day US immigration queries and driving impact by delivering a premium employee experience. The ideal candidate has technical US immigration experience and is highly motivated with a positive attitude, and exhibits patience, teamwork, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
They will act as a partner to a variety of internal stakeholders, to smoothly deliver immigration technical advice, transaction support and training while ensuring compliance with government regulations and delivering a premium people experience. - Execute on high volume of US immigration queries from recruiters, HR partners, managers, and employees.
- As part of a tiered support model, manage process flow as it pertains to immigration queries, initiations, vendor contact and employee questions and process improvement.
- Maintain a commitment to our service level agreements (SLAs) for immigration queries.
- Partner with external law firms to provide a seamless experience for FB employees and stakeholders in addressing immigration related queries.
- Input data into various Global Mobility systems and assist with audits to verify data discrepancies between systems and ultimately, resolve data discrepancies.
- Provide high-quality experience to internal stakeholders and employees by leveraging shared services and outsourced partners for transactional activity.
- Partner with the wider immigration team on specialized projects with focus on US immigration transaction efficiency, stakeholder education and consultation and advising, implementing, maintaining and reporting on immigration policy matters.
- Assist with improving and maintaining internal immigration related resources for internal stakeholders and employees to provide immigration related resources on demand and in a self-service format.
- Forward thinking innovator committed to iteration and process improvement in identifying ways to continue to grow and develop immigration program and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Collaborate with growing global mobility team on other team initiatives and projects as assigned.
- May be assigned additional program responsibility to meet company growth needs.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in immigration, Human Resources or directly related field.
- 3+ years of experience working in a technical role within US immigration.
- Detailed knowledge of US visa types, processes and experience reviewing case facts to determine the optimal filing type.
- Foundational project management skills across multiple disciplines and stakeholders – contributing to projects from conception to implementation.
- Experience exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and working with highly confidential data.
- Communication skills and experience handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience critically analyzing situations and spot potential issues.
- Experience in working independently while contributing within a team environment (remote and onsite).
- 3+ years industry in-house immigration and mobility program experience.
- Experience with contingency planning for US immigration case strategy.
- Experience in monitoring changes in immigration law and policy and analyze impact to employee population.
- Experience influencing decisions and to clearly articulate complex/nuanced immigration matters to stakeholders.
