Schedule:

  • Academic Year: at least 12 hours per week.
  • Summer: minimum of 20 hours per week, students can work up to 30-40 hours per week.
  • Scheduled hours between 6:30 am-10:00 pm Sunday through Saturday.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

A Culinary Assistant is responsible for preparing food, serving food to customers, working with a variety of culinary equipment such as grills, deep fryers, and ovens, stocking product as needed, operating a cash register, and maintaining dining room sanitation and appearance. We are looking for individuals who love working on a team, have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to customer service

  • Assist with all phases of food preparation for salads, sandwiches, beverages, entrees, soups, and specialty items.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and portion control per supervisor instructions.
  • Set up serving stations that include utensils, food, dishes, supplies, and condiments.
  • Maintain beverage station dispensers and refill as necessary.
  • Replenish condiments and serving utensils.
  • Complete required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possibility of pushing and pulling carts weighing approximately 200 lbs.
