Underwriting Support Associate - Remote - United States
This position plays a vital role in the Group Underwriting organizations ability to effectively deliver a competitive quote and meet our customer’s needs. The Underwriting Support Associate II is the first point of contact for incoming quote requests and is responsible for all activities related to the review and preparation of a request for proposal (RFP).
You will
- Assist the team achieve success through innovation and optimization which will drive better outcomes for the customer and our business.
- Effectively communicate with Brokers and Sales partners to validate RFP information, including plan holder and census data.
- Maintain service levels and meet/exceed production and quality metrics.
- Develop productive working relationships with key business partners.
- Analyze data and use sound judgement in decision making and problem solving.
- Participate and support all functions within the Underwriting Operations team.
You have
- Demonstrates creative thinking and making decisions based on available information.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Advocates for change on the team, within the department, and within Guardian.
- Has excellent customer facing skills and demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Displays agility in handling multiple tasks, responding rapidly to changing priorities, and working within tight deadlines.
- Ability to navigate through various systems and documents to find pertinent information.
- Displays strong Microsoft excel skills.
- High School Diploma required / some college, AA or AS degree preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills required.
- Experience in a fast-paced, operations environment preferred.
Reporting Relationships
As an Underwriting Support Associate II, you will report to the RFP Registration Manager, who reports to the RFP Registration Leader of Underwriting Operations.

Limited travel required.
Salary Range
$35,710.00 - $53,560.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
