Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Assist Dr. Nechaev's lab in bioinformatics and bench experiments related to understanding the mechanisms and regulation of gene expression. Relevant training is provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Literature research
- Bioinformatics analysis of own and published omics datasets
- On-the bench experiments involving DNA and RNA purification and characterization

Minimum Requirements
- Ability to learn bioinformatics
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with bench work including micro pipetting and mammalian tissue culture, or bioinformatics/computer programming.
